Feb. 23, 2022 - NLMK Group is pleased to announce the appointment of a new CEO at Altai-Koks.

Vadim Valyas, currently Director of Production at the site, will take on the role of CEO starting from 1st March 2022. He is going to focus on further operational efficiency improvements and coke and chemical production process development.

Pavel Lizogub who previously held the position of Altai-Koks CEO, o will be leaving the company.

Under his leadership Altai-Koks became one of the most efficient coke and chemical plants in Russia through implementing the coke charge stamping technology, deploying NLMK Production System, and optimizing the cash cost of a crucial raw material for steelmaking operations while maintaining the required level of quality. I wish Vadim Valyas success in implementing the strategic development objectives of the site".

Vadim Valyas joined Altai-Koks in 1990. In 2002, he was appointed Head of Production Department. He has been Director of Production at the site since 2008.
