Feb. 2, 2022 - NLMK Group, a global steel company, has automated its standard tender procedure process for the procurement of required equipment, spare parts, tools and other categories of goods. A digital assistant will automatically carry out up to 4,000 tender procedures a year, saving up to 3,000 hours per year that the procurement team will be able to redirect towards priority tasks and projects.

The digital service gathers the Company’s various procurement needs in a single system, creates tenders in SAP SRM, distributes all the necessary information to tender and other bidding procedure participants, runs the calculations and requests discounts.

Procurement process automation is essential for maintaining the Company’s competitive edge. NLMK Group is one of the first in Russia to implement SAP Ariba Sourcing to manage equipment procurement, and its procurement digitalization continues. The next step is to introduce a system enabling coordination and data exchange with the vendors.
