Oct. 6, 2021 - NLMK Group, a global steel company, has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with AILA, the Artificial Intelligence Laboratories Association, to strengthen cooperation in production process digitalization, including Internet of Things and artificial intelligence technologies.

NLMK and AILA already have a number of joint pilot projects. For instance, NLMK Group and AILA member BiometricLabs are currently testing mobile wireless vibroacoustic sensors for detecting leaks in production facility pipelines. Such sensors continuously monitor the condition of underground communications in real time, potentially enabling faster detection of damaged sections. This system will reduce the number of leaks and boost the reliability of equipment water supply.

NLMK Group has already screened thousands of startups via its external innovation evaluation platform, with over 100 solutions already implemented or being piloted.
